Hair Transplant Cost per Graft in Turkey (2026)
Last updated: October 2026
Quick answer: Clinics in Turkey that charge strictly per graft publish roughly €0.90 to €2.60 per graft ($1 to $3), but most clinics sell packages instead. In our database, 64 of the 100 clinics we review publish a starting price, with a median of €2,148; divided by each clinic's typical graft range, that works out to about €0.60 to €1.20 per graft. Prices here are in euros with dollar and pound equivalents at the September 2026 rate (€1 ≈ $1.14 ≈ £0.86). Our methodology explains how the clinic data is collected.
Ask three Turkish clinics for a price and you'll probably get three different kinds of answer. One gives you a rate per graft. Another sends a single figure that covers everything. The third wants photos first and won't name a number at all. It's confusing, and honestly a bit annoying when you're just trying to work out a budget. Plenty of clinics here don't sell per graft at all: they sell packages, with the grafts folded inside, and once you see that, every quote you collect starts to read differently.
How much does a hair transplant cost in Turkey in 2026?
Most all-inclusive packages in Turkey come in somewhere between €1,300 and €4,400 this year ($1,500 to $5,000; £1,150 to £3,750), though very large cases can go above that. In the USA, quotes of roughly $4,000 to $15,000 (€3,500 to €13,200) are common for similar work, and UK clinics often quote £4,000 to £10,000 (€4,650 to €11,650), sometimes more. So yes, Turkey is cheaper. The quotes are also put together differently, and that's where most people get lost when they start comparing. Our main hair transplant cost guide covers prices and packages in more depth.
Is per-graft pricing better than a package?
Neither is better; they measure different things. Per-graft pricing is the simpler model: the clinic estimates how many grafts you need, then multiplies by its rate. If the plan grows from 2,500 grafts to 3,500, your bill grows with it.
A package works another way. You pay one agreed price for the planned procedure, and that price usually already covers pre-op tests, medication, hotel nights, airport and clinic transfers, and follow-up after you're home. A few hundred extra grafts don't automatically show up as a new charge. In our database, 68 of the 100 clinics include a hotel, 73 include transfers and 77 include aftercare.
Per-graft quotes are easier to read, and packages are easier to budget around. Just know which one you're holding. A "$1.50 per graft" offer and a "$2,500 package" offer don't measure the same thing, so putting them side by side tells you very little.
How much does a hair transplant cost by graft count?
The table gives indicative 2026 prices from published package and clinic prices. Use them as a rough guide: plenty of clinics don't build a quote by multiplying graft count by a rate, so don't expect the table to behave like a calculator.
| Estimated grafts | Indicative price (€) | Approx. ($) | Approx. (£) | What it usually covers |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1,000 | €1,300–€1,950 | $1,500–$2,200 | £1,150–£1,650 | Small jobs, like a hairline touch-up or the temples |
| 2,000 | €1,300–€2,450 | $1,500–$2,800 | £1,150–£2,100 | The hairline and front, or milder hair loss |
| 3,000 | €1,450–€3,100 | $1,650–$3,500 | £1,250–£2,650 | More frontal coverage, sometimes reaching the mid-scalp |
| 4,000 | €1,550–€4,400+ | $1,750–$5,000+ | £1,300–£3,750+ | Bigger frontal and mid-scalp work |
| 5,000 | €1,650–€4,850+ | $1,850–$5,500+ | £1,400–£4,150+ | Heavy restoration that leans hard on the donor area |
| 6,000 | Individualized | Individualized | Individualized | May need a longer, multi-day plan |
| 8,000 | Individualized or staged | Individualized or staged | Individualized or staged | Rare, and needs a detailed donor assessment first |
Look at how wide those ranges get. Two clinics can quote €1,550 and €4,400 for the same 4,000 grafts. The graft count barely explains that gap. It mostly comes from the technique, how hands-on the doctor is, what's packed into the price, and how nice the hotel and aftercare are.
What do you actually pay per graft?
Divide the package price by the number of grafts: it is a rough figure, because the same money also pays for your hotel, transfers and aftercare, but it shows what each graft ends up costing you. Across the 48 clinics in our database that publish both a starting price and a graft range, the starting price works out to a median of about €0.59 per graft at the top of the clinic's range and €1.21 at the bottom, with the middle half of clinics between €0.45 and €1.67.
Take the median starting price in our database, €2,148 (about $2,450 or £1,850). Over 2,000 grafts that comes to about €1.07 a graft. Over 3,000 it's roughly €0.72. At 4,000 you're around €0.54, and at 5,000 it falls to about €0.43.
With a fixed package, then, each extra graft your donor area can safely give pulls the per-graft cost down. A strict per-graft rate never does that: graft number 3,000 costs exactly what graft number 1 did. That's the reason you can't line up "per graft" figures from two clinics and call it settled.
Is a higher graft count a better deal?
No. It's easy to fall into the trap of chasing the highest graft count for the lowest price. The donor area, meaning the hair at the back and sides of your head, is a limited supply. Pull too much out and it starts to look thin, and you'd have less to draw on if you want another procedure a few years from now.
A good clinic decides the graft target after it has looked at your donor area, never before. Many clinics treat around 4,000 grafts as a comfortable single session. Going beyond that depends on the donor area and the team, and very large plans sometimes continue on a second day or bring in beard or body hair to back up the scalp. If someone promises you a firm 8,000 grafts over WhatsApp before anybody has properly assessed your donor area, that's a sales number. It isn't a medical plan.
What else changes the price?
Graft count is just one piece; technique, who does the work, the facility, the package and the city matter as much.
The technique counts. Sapphire FUE, DHI, a combined approach and Long Hair FUE all take different amounts of time and work, and the price can shift with that. Our treatment pages explain the differences, and the FUE vs DHI guide compares their cost.
So does who does the work. At some clinics the doctor plans the case and handles the critical steps. At others, teams move between several patients at once. Those two setups cost different amounts to run, and you'll often see it in the quote.
Then there's the building itself. Operating rooms, sterilization, monitoring equipment and trained staff all cost money, and some clinics rent space while others run their own. And the package: which hotel, how many nights, VIP transfers, medication, follow-up, and extras like PRP or sedation.
City matters less than people expect. In our database, the median starting price in Istanbul is €2,000 across 55 clinics, against €2,300 for the 9 priced clinics in other cities. Istanbul does have the widest spread, though: starting prices there run from €1,290 to €7,000, against €1,290 to €3,300 elsewhere, because the premium clinics, the top hotels and the biggest crowd of international patients are all in Istanbul.
What costs are outside the package?
Your package price isn't your whole trip budget. Flights are normally separate, and a round trip often runs €450 to €1,050 ($500 to $1,200) depending on where you're coming from and when you book. Then you've got meals and spending money, maybe an extra night or two if plans shift, and some travel insurance. Put it together and a trip built around a €2,200 to €4,400 package ($2,500 to $5,000) comes to something like €2,750 to €6,250 ($3,150 to $7,100), occasionally more. Our trip plan covers how many nights to book.
None of that counts as a hidden cost, by the way, as long as the clinic tells you up front what's in and what's out. It only turns into a hidden cost when you find out afterward. In our Transparency Index, 58 of the 96 clinics we checked list in writing what the price includes.
How do you compare two quotes?
Compare what each price includes and who does the work, not just the total. Imagine one clinic quotes you €2,000 and another quotes €4,000. Before you decide the cheaper one is the bargain, or the pricier one must be the safe choice, go back to both clinics with a few questions.
Ask how many grafts they're planning for you and why that number fits the way you're losing hair. Ask why they picked that technique. Find out who will actually carry out each stage of the procedure, because the answer sometimes surprises people. Then go through what the price covers: tests, medication, hotel, transfers, follow-up. And if there's anything they haven't mentioned, ask about that as well, since extras tend to hide in what a quote leaves out. Our questions to ask a hair transplant clinic give you the full list.
A low quote doesn't automatically mean a risky clinic, and a high one doesn't automatically mean a better one. Price alone tells you very little. How openly the clinic answers those questions tells you a lot more. How Istanbul Vita prices it
We don't charge per graft at Istanbul Vita. The graft number comes out of the donor assessment, and the price depends on the package you pick, so a bigger case doesn't automatically cost more. Very large or multi-day plans are quoted individually after the assessment.
Standard is $2,500 (€2,000 for European patients). It covers the procedure, tests, PRP and mesotherapy, aftercare, a guarantee document, 24/7 medical assistance, a year of online follow-up, a 4-star hotel and VIP transfers.
Premium is $3,200 (€2,800) and upgrades your stay to Selectum City Ataşehir or Elite World Grand.
Deluxe is $4,000 (€3,500). On top of the rest you get sedation anesthesia, stem cell treatment, dental whitening, and a room at the Istanbul Marriott Hotel Asia.
The dollar prices apply to patients from the USA and Canada, and the euro prices to patients from Europe. The final price goes into your written quotation once the doctor has gone through your case.
You can see the full package breakdown on our pricing page.
The takeaway
Don't shop on cost per graft alone. Work out what kind of quote you're holding, ask what's inside it, and let the donor assessment set the graft number, not the other way around. If you'd like to know where you stand, send a few photos of your hair and a doctor will tell you what's realistic and what it would cost.
FAQ
How much does a hair transplant cost per graft in Turkey?
If a clinic charges strictly per graft, rough published estimates usually fall around €0.90 to €2.60 ($1 to $3). Most clinics sell packages instead, and dividing a package price by the grafts usually comes out lower: about €0.60 to €1.20 per graft in our database. There's no single rate that fits every clinic.
Does a higher graft count always cost more?
Not always. With per-graft pricing it does. With a fixed package, the price stays put within the planned procedure.
Are flights included?
Usually not. Hotel and transfers often are, depending on the package: in our database, 68 of 100 clinics include a hotel and 73 include transfers.
Can I get an exact price without coming in?
Photos will get you a solid estimate. The final graft number and price still depend on a proper donor assessment.
Is Istanbul more expensive than other Turkish cities?
Not on average. In our database the median starting price in Istanbul is €2,000, against €2,300 in other cities, but Istanbul also has the most expensive premium clinics, with starting prices up to €7,000.
